Mirabel is a crescent shaped garter stitch short row and lace shawl using three colors: a solid/semi-solid, a tonal and a variegated.
Mirabel means “wondrous” and this shawl is just that, the different colored sections flow and glide into one another with a sweeping grace.
An easy knit with constantly changing directions and techniques, Mirabel is simply wonderful to knit!
Samples were knit in Morning Bright Yarns in multiple colorways. Contact Becky through the Esty Shop if you are interested in purchasing a custom kit.
Pattern is written for one size. Shawl is 40” wide x 18” long after blocking.
Garter tab cast on, short rows; k2tog, ssp, k1p1 in yo and picot bind off (explained in pattern).
Fingering weight in three colors. Yardage may vary for different yarns. If you are substituting yarn, be sure you have more than required.
