These socks were designed to re-create the mystery and strangeness of Mirkwood forest in the Hobbit.

They consist of ribbing with a dropped stitch every once in a while. This dropped stitch is asymmetrical for a reason - it creates an uneven fabric which looks perfect for the uneasiness everyone feels upon entering Mirkwood.
Change the position of your dropped stitch, choose a really mysterious colour of yarn and create your very own disconcerting sock.
You have to be careful with the ribbing, though, because it, too, changes every so often!
