This is a mirrored derivation of Cookie A’s Pomatomus sock pattern applied to snug fingerless mitts that have mirrored scale patterns for each hand. There are charts and the pattern is also written out for those that like it in that style. Since it’s a derivation, it’s free.

The gloves as described use one delicious tiny skein of Miss Bab’s Yummy 2-Ply Toes, but there are notes, if you have more yarn, for longer and larger sized mitts. These are snug for a 7 1/2 inch around hand.

If you don’t want to fiddle with the reversed pattern for the second hand, just do the first hand twice. The mitts will still work as they’re reversable, and no one but you (and I) will notice the difference, and it’s easier to keep them both the same size and gauge as the twists will go the same way.
