Inspired by one of Jane Austen’s most intriguing characters, Miss Fairfax is a luxuriously soft and warm shawl perfect for protecting both your shoulders and your secrets. Worked upwards from a wide, thistle lace beginning, the body of the shawl is shaped into an elegant crescent with simple, non-wrapped short rows. The large yarn and gauge, and straightforward stockinette body, mean that Miss Fairfax can be easily knit up over as few as three or four nights beside the fireplace.

Lace directions are provided in both written and charted formats.
