Inspired by Miss Honey, from the Richard Scary books, this funky little felted vest is fun for the holidays.

Miss Honey is knit from the bottom-up, in one piece with no seams. The i-cord border is sewn on after it’s knit, then the whole thing is felted. Skills required include knitting in stockinette stitch, decreasing, making an i-cord, felting, very remedial sewing, and adding grommets. This is a very quick knit. Because it is felted, it is also quite forgiving; little mistakes will be felted away.
