Mistelbach is the name of the tiny village I grew up in. “Bach” is the German word for little river and the “Mistelbach” is the little river that runs through that village. The cable pattern in the hat reminded me of the movements in a little river.

The hat is worked in the round with an allover cable pattern.

Sizes offered are S, M and L which equals a head circumference of 17, 19 and 21 inches. I would recommend to work the size down to your actual head size as you don’t want the hat to be too loose.

The gauge is quite different in the ribbing and the cable pattern so checking the gauge is inevitable.

The hat can be worked in every fingering weight yarn, between 300 and 400 yards are needed depending on the size worked.
