May be knit with any weight yarn. Three colors are required- Main color, traditionally a tweed or ragg type yarn; Contrast Color 1, traditionally a white or cream color; and Contrast Color 2, traditionally red. Gauge varies depending on type of yarn. Choose a needle size that will give a firm fabric-usually 2-3 sizes smaller than the recommended needle size.
