I love the stylized mistletoe leaves, they are perfect for the festive season and beyond.

A special feature is the slipped leaf stem stitch. It is practical, by avoiding long floats, as well as attractive, by accentuating the leaf stem with an elongated stitch. Small tricks like these make knitting so enjoyable.

Both the hat and cowl are worked in the round from the bottom up, featuring the same stranded colour pattern that can be worked either from the chart or written instructions, whichever you prefer. The cowl is edged with garter stitch at the top and bottom. The hat has a tight-fitting 1x1 rib rim.

This pattern features in Issue 93 of Knit Now, which is on sale from 15th September in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK. Find your nearest UK stockist here. Copies can also be ordered from MoreMags or if you prefer, digital editions are available via PocketMags.
