Mistral is a very pretty lace scarf featuring trailing vine lace stitch edges joined by a central panel of eyelet lace.

Suitable for novice knitters as a first lace pattern and a first grafted project, the pattern includes clear instructions on Kitchener grafting.

Or you might prefer to knit a complete scarf in either the trailing vine or eyelet lace motifs before attempting the grafted project. Either way there’s plenty of learning in this beautiful project.

Knitted in kid – silk or 4 ply alpaca it would make a luxurious addition to your winter wardrobe. Knitted in four ply cotton, Mistral is just perfect for a windy day at the beach or a cool summer evening.

Guage is not important in this pattern as the finished look is a matter of personal taste.
