Materials: to make Hat and Mitts
50 grams (220 yards) of fingering weight yarn in Solid (Color A)
50 grams (220 yards) fingering weight yarn in self stripe (Color B) When picking color B make sure it doesn’t contain any of Color A or the pattern will get muddy. Also pick one that has solid stripes for best results.
Model made with Fortissima Colori 10 and a solid dark brown
Needles Size – use double points, circular or magic loop, direction are generic.
Mitt Needles:
Size 0 (2.0mm) for small mitts – 9sts per inch – 7”around
Size 1.5 (2.50mm) for medium mitts – 8sts per inch – 8”around
Size 2 (2.75mm) for large mitts – 7.5sts per inch – 8.5” around
