The Mitzi Poncho is an asymmetrical drapey poncho that dresses up a pair of jeans and gives you that extra bit of warmth on a chilly day.

While the pattern calls for Aran yarn, and the sample was knit in self-striping, any yarn that gives you gauge can be used. Consider a solid yarn for a more neutral look. Or use two different yarns and stripe them any way you choose for more flare.

Notes are also included to help with size alterations, should you choose.

Finished Size – One Size
Body: 24-30” / 61-76 cm long
100” / 254 cm circumference around bottom edge
24-30” / 61-76 cm circumference around top neck edge
Cowl: 24-30” / 61-76 cm around x 11” / 28 cm tall

Be sure to knit in the loose gauge that is called for in this pattern. This will ensure that the fabric is not too stiff and the garment drapes nicely.

I like the simplicity of German Short Rows, so this pattern is written for them. If you prefer a different short row method, please feel free to use it, adjusting the instructions to fit your need.
