I designed the Modicum Mitts specifically to use small amounts of fingering weight yarn in many colors. You can get a Madelinetosh Tea Cake sampler from Jimmy Beans Wool, or use up the leftover bits of yarn in your stash! They look gorgeous in tonal colors, or try a brightly colored rainbow!

The simple color work stripes are a great introduction to stranded knitting and the pattern is very easy to memorize! The i-cord bind off allows the pattern to flow right to the edge, while at the same time prevent curling.

If you purchase a Tosh Tea Cake Sampler from JBW then the pattern will be included for free!
