A beginner Knitter can easily follow this pattern. There are pictorials to help along with stitches you might not be familiar with.

The beanie is constructed with a 2 x 2 twisted rib and ribboned stockinette. Measures 11 in. from cast on edge to tip and sizes Small (18-19 in.) Medium (20-21 in.) Large (22-23 in.) in diameter

Hat is knit in the round.

The rib is knitted with size 4 knitting needles and the body with size 5 knitting needles.

For a denser knit, you could easily use a Sport or DK weight yarn.

The beanie has a reversible texture and can be folded at the brim for a less slouchy fit.

The colorway used for the sample is: Well Worn by Kismet Fiber Works in Refuge base.
