What am I missing?
Modified Drops Eyelet Baby Cardigan
Note: the pdf download is missing a few errata that are changed on the version that is on my blog. Until further notice, I would recommend using the blog version. The things that are different are the instructions to decrease 1 stitch on each side of the sleeve, not on just one side, and to work one purl row before starting the feather-and-fan stitch on the bottom.
This sweater is a heavily modified version of a Drops Designs baby sweater with a free pattern on the web. The original sweater is knit in pieces, bottom up, in a different yarn and with different eyelet patterns. It can be found here. The pattern as I modified it can be found here
Note: some knitters have rightly pointed out that the pictured yoke has two garter ridges (before and after the eyelet bands) that are not in the pattern. This is true -- I streamlined the pattern after knitting the prototype. If you want the garter ridges, please feel free to add them in -- just remember that you want to do it in the penultimate row before the eyelets, not just before (or it will blend in with the eyelet row’s garter band).
