Here is a Sun Suit for Molly that’s perfect for those hot summer days! It is a pattern for the Intermediate knitter, using a modular construction of two striped squares and two picked up triangles (at the hips), all worked flat. The crotch is picked up, knitted onto the body with the only seam the two or so inches where it joins the front of the panel, and edged with single crochet. The picot edged skirt is picked up and worked in the round, folded on the picot, and quickly whip stitched into place. The picot edging on the top is picked up and folded like the skirt. The neck tie is a simple twisted cord made with embroidery floss and plastic beads.
