Like the beautiful Mokara orchid, this shawl/cape has five sections that radiate out from a center circle. It drapes beautifully around your shoulders and stays in place without a pin or button.

Made with any heavy lace or light fingering yarn, it makes a wonderful warm weather shawl. There are written instructions and helpful charts.

You will need to know how to read instructions or charts, join yarn, chain, double crochet, slip stitch, and work into a starting chain.

The sample shawl was made with one skein of Zitron Filisilk, which I consider a heavier lace weight.

Gauge/Size: Unblocked size was 16” deep. Blocked size down center back was 22” deep.

The size of your shawl will be greatly affected by the yarn you choose and how much it relaxes in blocking. I recommend a heavy lace to light fingering weight yarn. Light fingering weight may take more yarn.
