樅 (Japanese, ‘momi’) - fir, spruce

Toe-up socks with a fir tree colorwork motif. Perfect for those chilly evenings when you just want to sit by the fireside and watch the falling snow, be it from your cabin in the woods or your little urban nest.

Materials
Fingering weight yarn (ideally wool and nylon blend) such as DROPS Fabel or Tukuwool Sock in two contrasting colors: approx. 250 m in main color (green), approx. 110 m in contrasting color (grey)

Needles & Notions
US 2 (2.75 mm) double-pointed needles
US 2.5 (3.00mm) double pointed needles
(if you are using the magic loop technique, use circular needles in the same size)
2 stitch markers
1 tapestry needle (weaving in ends)

Measurements
Approx. 9 in foot circumference (unstretched)
The pattern is written for one size only. To knit the socks in a larger size, go up in either needle size or yarn weight. To knit them in a smaller size, go down in needle size or yarn weight.
The sock length measured from the toe to the heel can be adapted as necessary.
