To do this project, you need to know how to Tunisian Crochet but especially Tunisian Knit Crochet!

So…If you’ve never given Tunisian crochet a try, I found these tutorials by “The Crochet Side” on YouTube to be very helpful! Go here first for the basics: http://youtu.be/f2MQP0JIi4o
and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypi6XPvvPQo&list=PL461

Materials needed:

Pattern: On my Flickr Page

”H” size Tunisian Crochet Hook

1 skein of Worsted Weight Yarn (I prefer Impeccable solid yarn from Michael’s)

Scissors

Tapestry Needle

PS: Not to sure of the gauge but I really don’t think it matters.

Be prepared! Tunisian knit crochet does curl up as you go, plus it will not lay flat! It’s the only aggravating thing about it. However, it’s very thick and will give you the right amount of cushion to protect your glasses!

It’s nothing fancy really but I hate making swatches then ripping them out, so I just found a way to use it for something useful and to protect my glasses. Use your imagination, make the chain longer or increase your rows to make things like a, cell phone case, mirror case, credit card case, etc.

I hope you like it. This is my own little invention, my first little pattern. Give it a try and tell me what you think! ~Blessings!~
