The inspiration for this jumper was the fabulous 16th century Lady and the Unicorn tapestries from the Musée National du Moyen Âge in Paris. The wool is from the French natural dye company Renaiisance Dyeing and is dyed in the exact colours used in the original tapestries.

The pattern will suit experienced knitters who are confident with a range of different techniques.

The size will fit a 34-36” / 86-90cm chest but there are extra charts to help with resizing at the end of the pattern.

The Merino D’Arles yarn has an unusual gauge and if you are unable to use this yarn the additional charts will help with adjustments.

The main colours used are Unicorn Red (183gms) and Indigo (160gms). Other colours are:
Mid blue (Puivert) 4 gms
Pale blue (Pastel) 4 gms
Mid green (Mauri)  17 gms
Dark green 18 gms
Yellow (Narbonne) 21 gms
Dark brown (Chocolat) 12 gms
Natural white (Ecru) 13 gms
Bright green 25 gms
