This lace cowl begins with the leaf lace edging, which is worked back and forth. The short ends of the edging are then grafted together and the stitches for the body of the cowl are picked up along the top edge of this loop. The body is then worked in the round, and is finished off with a picot edge.

You will need approximately 425 yards of a fingering weight yarn to complete the project as written. Recommended for a tonal/semi-solid colorway to best show off the lace patterning. Note that the lace patterns are presented in chart form ONLY.

This cowl is the first in a 6-part pattern series featuring lace patterns for the Wooly Wonka Fibers Herbarium Club - Lace 2017. An ebook collection of all 6 of the patterns (with patterns released every other
month during the course of 2017) is also available for download.
