This magical mystery shawl has been floating around in my head for years and finally it’s coming to you! The Magician colorway from Sweet Georgia is unique and gorgeous in its simplicity, but any semi-solid yarn would look lovely in this design. You could also use a gradient yarn, but I think anything too striped or variegated might compete with the patterning.

This mystery shawl is unique in that you can easily use most any yarn for it – there will be suggestions all along the way to allow you to make the most of your yarn. The sample shawl is in Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock (2 skeins) in the Magician colorway.

YARN REQUIREMENTS:
Fingering Weight – approximately 800 yards/730 m
Sport Weight – approximately 900 yards/825 m
DK Weight – approximately 1050 yards/960 m
Worsted Weight – approximately 1200 yards/1095 m
Bulky Weight – approximately 1400 yards/1280 m

Please note that if you do the full shawl in Worsted or Bulky your shawl is going to be really generous – which may be just what you’re looking for!

All instructions will be provided in written AND charted format. The clues will come out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, beginning with Friday the 23rd of September. That way if you are doing things a bit differently because of yarn amounts you don’t have to wait long for the next clue!
