This elegant top has three quarter sleeves and is shaped at the waist and has short row shaping to create bust darts. If you prefer more room at the waist, just omit the waist darts.
Apart from the welt and cuff ribbing, this top is worked almost entirely in stocking stitch, the detail relying on the beading on the sleeves and front extending round the neck as an edging. The beads are knitted in, but if you prefer they could be sewn on later – use whichever method you prefer. Since the beads are threaded onto the yarn at the start of the pieces, the top is knitted flat, rather than in the round, to minimise how far the beads are carried along the yarn.
