Montecito Cowl is a simple and dramatic use of two (or more) contrasting color ways and slipped stitches. The knit/purl of the knitted stitches form a small bump that looks like a knot. AND…with this easy to memorize sequence of stitches, you will only use one color every two rows!

One option uses two skeins of Cricket, in contrasting colors. Second option uses one skein of Cricket and the 5 pack of skeinettes in a gradient as shown.

Bottom folded hem is in main color, then the fun starts with the addition of either the Cricket contrasting color or Color #1 of the Squishy gradient. If using the skeinette gradient pack, the Squishy for this section will be held double. At the top hem, a blast of color is used for the inside of the hem. Worn with this hem at the top, there is a bit of sass with the flash of color. For more sedate days, wear with the bottom hem at the top.

Kits available for the 2 skein Anzula Cricket: Charcoal+Irene, Au Natural+Mariana, & Hippo+Black Cherry.

Kits available for the Gradient option: Secret Redwoods (rust), Secret Riverbed (grey), & Secret Shoreline (blue)
