Montgolfières are knit from the cuff down, with a reinforced heel flap – gusset construction and a rounded toe. Worked in stockinette stitch, ribs and a simple 2-color brioche, these slippers are entertaining and easy to knit, and will keep your feet warm and comfy. They are also a good opportunity to have fun with colors and put some lonely leftovers together.

To choose your size, measure your foot circumference at the widest point. Slippers are intended to be worn with 0 to 1.5 cm / 0 to 0.5” of negative ease.

YARN : DK weight yarn (about 200 to 250 m / 218 to 273 yds in 100 g), OR 2 strands of fingering weight yarn held together.

For durability, choose yarns with a nylon or an equivalent synthetic content. To obtain floaty and bouncy balloons that hold nicely, choose yarns that don’t drape too much (mostly wool rather than alpaca or silk, for example).

Alternant du jersey endroit, des côtes et du point brioche bicolore, ces chaussettes sont amusantes et faciles à tricoter. Moelleuses et confortables, elles sauront garder vos pieds au chaud et vous permettront de jouer avec les couleurs en réunissant, pourquoi pas, quelques restes esseulés.

Pour choisir votre taille, mesurez la circonférence de votre pied en son point le plus large. Ces chaussettes sont destinées à être portées avec une aisance négative de 0 à 1,5 cm.

FIL: Epaisseur DK (environ 200 à 250 m pour 100 g), OU 2 fils d’épaisseur fingering tricotés ensemble.
Afin d’obtenir des ballons flottants et bien rebondis, préférez des fils avec une certaine tenue et peu de drapé (composé essentiellement de laine par exemple, plutôt que d’alpaga ou de soie). Pour la résistance des chaussettes, préférez un fil solide pour CP qui contient du nylon ou une matière équivalente.
