Symbolism
Mookie symbolizes the fantastic feat of survival. The name was inspired by a rescued cat who survived hospitalization, feline diabetes, and gum disease.

Highlights
Mookie is knit with a doubled brim for extra warmth that is edged with a curled round of stockinette. The hat, which can be knit as fitted or slouchy, incorporates colorwork and cables, which meet at the crown to form a flower.
