Moraine is a super cozy wrap cardigan with an intricately cabled back and simple stockinette fronts. The long ribbed sleeves keep the shape from being overwhelming, but stretch wonderfully over your tee or blouse. The extra-long shawl collar can be worn scrunched up at the back of your neck for extra warmth and is finished with a tidy I-cord bind off.

The fronts and back are worked flat, then sewn together before working the shawl collar. The set-in sleeves are worked in the round to the underarm, then flat for the sleeve cap. The waist ties are worked separately and sewn to the side seams, so there’s nothing in the way of all those pretty back cables.

Meant to be worn with 2-4” / 5-10cm ease at the bust for a casual fit. For the best fit, measure a sweater you like the fit of, and make the size closest to it. Shown in size 40” / 103cm with 2” / 5cm positive ease.

Finished Bust, overlapped: 31 (33.5, 36, 38, 40, 42.5, 45, 49, 51.5, 58, 60.5)“

Fleece Artist Organic Wool (100% organic merino wool, 546 yds / 499m per 8.8 oz / 250g skein), 3 skeins in Ruby for size 40”.
This yarn is discontinued. Look for substitute yarns that are smooth and elastic, and will show the cables well, such as Fleece Artist Blue Face Aran.
