Notes

  • You might need to rearrange sts for the cable panel, feel free to do so, but arrange them back to the original position after the panel is worked.
  • The socks are supposed to be worn so that the cable is on the outside of the leg and are named in the pattern as left and right sock after that assumption. You may wear the socks as you wish!

Notions

Stitch markers

  • 3 (6 if you’re knitting two socks at a time) if magic loop is used.
  • 2 removable and 2 regular ones if dpn’s are used.

Cable needle
Tapestry needle
Contrasting color, smooth scrap yarn
(1 extra needle if you use 3-needle
bind off method)

Alterations

  • You may want to substitute the afterthought heel with a gusset heel, then work the heel flap and turn in CC and pick up the sts for the gusset with MC.
  • If you want to mirror the cables by working the charts from left to right, don’t swap the cable turns around.
