Morgaine was inspired by The Mists of Avalon. The shape and colour are taken from the crescent that Morgaine received on becoming a priestess. The lace border is inspired by Celtic knotwork.

This shawl takes less than 1 skein of fingering weight yarn. The border is worked from tip to tip, then the top edge is picked up and the garter body of the shawl is worked in simple short rows. Finally the pattern finishes with a knit-on border along the top, matching the bottom edge.

This pattern was exclusive to the 2014 Heroines Small Shawls Club from Wooly Wonka Fiber but is now available for purchase.
