This blanket design features an interesting three-color pattern that looks complicated but is rather simple and easy to follow. The mosaic design is wonderful for blankets because it looks great in both bold colors and muted tones, and is easy to adapt to match any room or nursery décor. For some ideas of color combinations, please visit my blog post!

This knitting pattern includes directions for both a smaller baby’s blanket and an adult-sized afghan. Both blankets follow pretty much the same pattern, but I used the mosaic design as stripes across a neutral background on the larger afghan.

This pattern is best suited for an experienced knitter who is familiar with slipped stitches and knitting with multiple colors at the same time. However, this knitting design is simple and an adventurous beginner should be able to follow the instructions with some patience and maybe just a little help.
