If you purchase 5 of my self-published designs at the same time (they need to be in the same cart), you will get the least expensive for free!

Would you like to try some simple mosaic pattern? Mosaic cowl is just the thing for you! It uses only 3 skeins of Tuku Fingering (or 3 half-skeins of fingering weight) and is ideal to learn how to create easy, yet intricate looking patterning. And when you’re done, you’ll have a cool bandana cowl!
The cowl begins like a simple garter shawl and continues in the round
with a decorative mosaic pattern, finished with a garter border.

Size
One size
Circumference at neck opening: 60cm/24”.
Depth in the front: 52cm/20.5”.

Yarn
1 skein each in three colors of Tukuwool Fingering by Tukuwool (100% wool; 195m/213y per 50g); Sample shown in CC1 – Auri; CC2 –Sake; CC3 –Uupo.
Or 3 colors of any other fingering weight yarn with similar yardage, which gives you the correct gauge.

Needles
3.25 mm/US #3 circular needle (80 cm/32” long).
3.5 mm/US #4 circular needle (80 cm/32” long) or one size bigger than main needle.

Other
3 stitch markers, locking marker, spare needle or cable needle (for joining round), tapestry needle for weaving, blocking pins.

Gauge
22 sts and 42 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter stitch worked flat (after wet blocking).
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
