Inspired by the palette of a Native American painting, the colors used in this shawl were chosen to symbolize different earthly elements: fire, water, earth and air. The sun and moon are also represented. I invited several women together for an evening of crocheting motifs. We ate, drank, and crocheted for hours. It was really fun, and we finished the motifs! This would be an amazing gift for a group of crocheters to collectively give to someone special - a mother, grandmother or a close friend.
