Scrap yarn project using about 650 total grams of fingering weight, sock yarn, or 4-ply yarn.

Knit on relatively large needles for the yarn size used, small differences in gauge are ironed out, making exact gauge match unnecessary. Can be adapted to any weight yarn (larger needles will be required for DK or worsted).

Prose pattern includes full instructions for center area, framing to eke out zig-zag edges to make a rectangle, and prose and charted instructions for a companion original edging.

Project is modular, knit on as it progresses. No seaming is required.
