Mottiposi is bag modelled after the figure of a moth. It utilises many different techniques to achieve the final result, such as felting, stranded colorwork, intarsia, i-cords, braiding and some seaming.

The design does not copy any existing species exactly. Inspiration was drawn from the Comet Moth, also known as the Madagascan Moon Moth, Argema mittrei.

It is recommended to use 100% non-superwash wool yarn to achieve the best felting result.

Instructions are given in written abbreviated form and charts. Pattern also includes a photo tutorial on how to braid with 4 strands and tips on how to felt.
