Please only purchase this pattern if you have about 300 large beads. The design will not look as nearly as enticing when adding smaller beads because they won’t produce the authentic “Berry” look.

ERRATA

A mistake has been corrected in the symbol legend. The symbol © actually stands for “make 5 from 3” (not “from 1”): “Сentered double decrease, but leave on left needle, then work (k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) into this stitch”.

Difficulty level: rather advanced

Yarn recommended:
YarnStories Laceweight wool 100% wool, 700 m/100 g (765.5 yds/3.5 oz)

Total yardage needed: approximately 600 m (656 yds)
(or more – depending on number of pattern repeats worked)

Finished size: adjustable
(The total yardage, exact number of beads as well as the final size of the shawl will depend on the number of pattern repeats worked, your individual gauge and blocking efforts.)

Needles: US 0 – 2.0 mm

Additionally:
• 8 stitch markers (or more – depending on number of pattern repeats worked)
• 1.5 – 2 m auxiliary thread
• crochet hook 0.5 mm for threading beads
• crochet hook 2.5 mm for binding off
• plastic beads of 8 mm diameter in color Red,
31 pieces per edge pattern repeat
• tapestry needle

If you prefer warm and dense shawls, you may use two different yarns for this shawl: thinner yarn for the lace edging, and a more substantial one for the body of the shawl.

Devotees of airy, weightless shawls may want to use YarnStories Linen yarn 2 ply, as shown in this georgeous sample knitted by Kate

About the colors in my sample shawls:

For the shawl with the burgundy center and “Fall colored” edge, I used YarnStories Laceweight wool yarn in colorway “brown rust” for the edging and Teksrena Knitting Yarn in colorway “575” for the body.

For the “overall fall colored shawl” with a little splash of Green at the nape, I used one yarn throughout the entire shawl: YarnStories Laceweight wool yarn in colorway “green/brown/orange” - the long color repeat of this yarn does all the work!

Empfohlenes Garn:
• YarnStories Laceweight wool (100% Wolle, LL 700 m/100 g) - Verbrauch ca. 600 m

Stricknadeln:
• Rundstricknadel US 0 – 2.0 mm

Sonstiges:
