This knit cowl design was inspired by a 2D painting that was recently completed.

This design is simple and cozy for the cold weather. The cowl is constructed bottom up on circular needles, so there is not seaming involved.

It can be worn as turtle neck or folded for more comfort. There are two sizes to choose from for ease.

I wanted to create something simple as my first knitwear design, and enrolled in the initiate knit design challenge by Aroha Knits.

She gave me the courage and basic steps to think and move forward as a designer.
Compared to the art piece, this design has movement represented through the form of various stitches.

Requires only half of the skein of yarn (182 yards; 166.5 meters/99 grams) in worsted to complete this pattern.

This yarn will increase by 1/4” when blocked. Recommend swatching twice with two needle sizes when substituting yarn.
