Since 2005, members of the Knitting Bee community have dressed over 500 comfort bears headed to Oregon’s Camp Erin, a traditional, fun overnight camp combined with emotional support and grief education for children and teens ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one.

This is a collection of our most popular basic patterns, supplied by our customers and handed down by Camp Erin organizers. Creativity, modifications and stash busting are encouraged … no two bear outfits are ever the same. We only ask that each bear have an outfit that includes a hat or headpiece.

Oregon’s Camp Erin is supported by donors, Providence Health & Services and The Moyer Foundation. More information can be found here.
