Mrs. Grimmet is my style guru. I borrowed some ideas from her playbook, and the result is this cowl-neck, cabled, sideways-knit pullover with kangaroo pockets. Fun to knit, easy to wear!

Pattern Info:

The pullover is knitted from side to side in one piece beginning with a provisional cast-on. Pockets are cleverly knit in. Cowl and ribbing at hem are picked up and knitted. Sleeves are knitted from the top in the round, and sleeve caps are shaped with short rows.

Sweater chest circumference:
32 (36, 39, 42, 45)(48, 52, 55, 58)“ The fit is relaxed, loose, and easy going. Recommended ease: 3-7”. Shown in size 42 with with 6” ease in photos 1, 2 & 5, and with 3” ease in photos 3, 4 & 6.

Substitute any worsted-weight yarn that works nicely to gauge: 1050 (1160, 1250, 1350, 1460) (1570, 1680, 1760, 1870) yds.

Techniques used: Cables, provisional cast-on, pick up and knit, grafting following a contrast- color path (with tutorial).
