This pattern is no longer available. The directions for this shawl have been incorporated into a new pattern the Mt Si shawl, with two larger shawls. See it here.

This shawl is made with Svana, a 2-ply laceweight made of 100% Icelandic lambswool from Jorstad Creek. It is soft and warm; it also shows the stitch pattern beautifully.

The Mt Rose Shawl can be made with or without beads. The small crochet hook is only needed if you are adding beads to your shawl. You will need approximately 260 size 6 seed beads for the pattern as written. A larger shawl can be made with additional repeats of the stitch pattern in the body. Of course, a larger shawl will require more yarn and more beads.
