This cat looks just like a stray cat that comes and visits us from time to time. We named him “Mugsy”. We are quite fond of him so due to his inspiration, I created this cat.

Over time, I’ve made this cat in many colors and breeds, and now here is the pattern so you can make up your own.

This cat is much bigger than the one from my “Cat and Her Fish” pattern. He’s about 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide.

You will need:
Worsted weight yarn in colors of your choice. At least 100 yards in main color and small amounts of coordinating color yarn for inner ear and nose and whiskers.
“J” crochet hook
poly fiberfill
cat craft eyes #15
yarn needle.

You should know these stitches:
For crochet: chain, single crochet, decrease, and how to make a magic ring. How to make a color change.

Enjoy!
