I live in a townhouse with a tiny, minuscule garden, and a balcony almost as large as the garden. On my balcony lives a big sage plant with its elongated, textured and velvety leaves. When I first discovered this leafy stitch pattern, I immediately thought of sage and mint. Then followed images of strolls in parks and gardens back in France, of fragrant herbs, of sunny and warm evenings amidst flowers, bushes and trees. The Mulberry Sage cowl is an ode to these places and memories. The main stitch pattern forms a canopy of leaves and is adorned with a choice of two lacy edgings to make the cowl symmetrical, or not. Join me on this garden stroll and knit yourself a piece of nature with one of your precious skeins!
