This bib is knit all in one piece, beginning at the outside edges; after four rows that incorporate 2 buttonholes, stitches are bound off to form the arced strap; balanced decreases shape the bib; centre stitches are joined using a 3-needle bind-off.

The stitch pattern for this bib is reversible. If two buttons are sewn on back-to-back it makes this a truly reversible bib.

Instruction are included to make the 2 buttonholes smaller or larger.

Needles: 32” 81cmcircular plus an extra needle for 3-needle bind-off

Notions: 1 button {ensure button is correct size for child so it does not present a choking hazard}; 2 stitch markers; large-eyed needle for weaving in ends

Method: knit flat from outside toward centre

Skills: knit, k2tog, ssk, cast-on in middle of row, 3-needle bind-off
