Inspired by Colorado skies and a love for knit chevrons, My Blue Heaven is a rectangle shawl knit lengthwise to produce a blanket of comfort. The use of strategically placed garter stitch produces a simple texture to deliver both an interesting fabric as well as an interesting knit.

What color is your Blue Heaven?

This pattern is written with a gradient or multicolor, mini skein set in mind. The sample was knit using 12 skeins, each containing approximately 115 yards/105 meters each. However, 6 skeins of different colors containing at least 200 yards/183 meters each will produce the same effect. Additionally, the pattern instructions give enough information on color changes to easily translate this shawl into any number of colors …from one to however many there are in your scrap collections.

Gauge is not crucial to this project but varying gauges will affect final measurements and yardage used.
