If you’ve ever been adopted by a cat, you know how they walk right into your heart. Cats and yarn, what a purrfect combination.

This shawl uses my own Cat’s Paw and Heart patterns in alternating strips to create this charming shawl for the cat lover. This rectangular shawl is worked in one piece and edged with a simple garter stitch border.

This shawl is for the adventurous knitter. This pattern uses six different decreases: k2tog, p2tog, ssk, ssp, CDD and sk2p. The Cat‘s Paw pattern will challenge you because it has patterning on both the right and wrong side rows. A nupp-style increase, a double yarnover and yarnovers are used to create the cat’s paw and toes. The lace patterns are written, not charted.
