DESCRIPTION :
The idea of this design is the beauty of cherry blossom flowers that bloom in Spring time. This shawlette captures the cycle of cherry blossom from flower buds to blossoming flowers. My Cherry Blossom is an asymmetrical triangle shawlette that is worked from side to side in Estonian lace motif. It has traditional lace motif with a modern twist, especially designed to celebrate Spring time of the year.

Wingspan : 71.5 inches / 182 cm
Depth : 13.5 inches / 34.5 cm

MATERIAL :

  • I used 1 hank of Papiput merino single 100 grams / 400 meters in Apem colorway for sample. Another option is light fingering weight gradient yarn.
  • 15-20 removable stitch markers

DIFFICULTY LEVEL :
Intermediate to advanced, shifting stitch markers in several charts. Pattern available in written instruction, chart only for motif repeat.

CORRECTIONS for chart 3:
row 1 : should be slip 1 wyif, yo, k2 instead of slip 1 wyif, yo, k1 before repeat

row 25 : there are 7 stitches missed from the pattern, should be written K1, yo, ssk, yo, k1, k2tog, k1 after repeat
