This is a pattern to knit these booties in a size 0-3 months. They are suitable for boys and girls.

To make this booty I have chosen a yarn called “Cotton Ease” by Lion Brand. This yarn is easy to work with and to take care of. Another big plus: it is easy to find. Most craft stores and Walmarts carry Lion Brand yarn.

Things you need to make the booties:
1 1/4 oz/33g worsted weight yarn (used here: Lion Brand Cotton Ease (50% Cotton/50% Acrylic, 3.5 oz/207 yds or 100g/188m per ball),tapestry needle, 1 circular knitting needle size US 6 (4.0 mm) 24”,
1 double pointed needle same size as circular knitting needle

You should know how to do this:
knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, yarn over and picking up stitches.
I have given a short explanation of all of these stitches and also links where you can find a video on youtube.

These booties will stay in place because of the cord. I used this type of booty for my children and felt they were perfectly safe.
But still be careful when using cords on baby clothes!
