Worsted / 10 ply (9 wpi)
24 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches
US 8 - 5.0 mm
450 - 550 yards (411 - 503 m)

Both Scarf and Cowl were knit in Worsted Weight Yarn. Scarf takes 450-550 yards depending on length. Cowl requires between 150 - 200 yards.
Could easily be accomplished by a beginner.
