This is a quick and easy felted handbag. It was first ever felting project, and first completed bag project.

I used Cleckheaton Vintage Hues, but any 12ply/bulky yarn will do.
Gauge is not particularly important unless you want a specific size. In that case I suggest you swatch, take measurements, then felt the swatch and measure for shrinkage.
