A cute and quick way to use up small amounts of leftover sock/shawl yarn!

Knit mostly in the round on dpns in one piece, the side and top fins are picked up and knitted off the body.

You’ll need a small amount of stuffing for the fish.

There are some general guidelines given for knitting the “gravel” and “seaweed”, because a lot depends on the size of the “fish bowl” you end up using. I used a small flower bowl from my local thrift shop and decorated with a nubbly yarn called “Primavera” from Nova for the gravel, but anything with texture will do. The “seaweed” only took a few yards of green DK. And because he’s knit, my fishy is suspended by fishing line from a dpn - appropriate, yes?
