Size is based on the foot circumference and not length. You will knit the sock as long as you need to in order to fit the wearer.

The inspiration behind the name of this sock is my mother. Her nickname is “Shortie” and I knit the textured version of this pair of socks for her as a Mother’s Day gift and thought this would be the perfect sock to name for her.
