My own sock drawer is made up of many pairs of one off socks. I will try out a new stitch pattern, a new cuff design or just pushing the boundaries of how many cables and lace patterns I can incorporate into a single sock.

As these are one off designs, I write them for two sizes, a women’s large/x-large. Eventually, the components are used in my multiple sized patterns. If you have purchased one of my multiple sized sock patterns, these are a Sock Width Size 4 (5).

This ankle length sock pattern includes a purl row highlight at the toe, open lace in the leg and a ribbed cuff. Both the ankle and cuff portions of the leg (stockinette stitch, lace section, ribbed cuff) can be extended as desired.

If you have always wanted to try a toe up sock with a bit of lace, here is a pattern to use.

Sock Width Size: 4 (5)
Foot sizes: US/Canadian Women’s 8 ½ to 9 ½, EUR 41-42, UK 7-8
Foot circumference: 8 ½ to 9 ½ inches (21 to 24 cm)
Leg length from base of heel: 5 ½ inches (14.5 cm)

The sock is constructed from the toe up with a short row heel.
Only written instructions are required for this design.

Happy knitting everyone.
